Diana on the Move Throughout the District
Diana participated in a large rally at the South Street Seaport, protesting the rise of monster buildings, and the damage they cause in the neighborhood. In this case, the excavation work to construct the 90+ story building brought toxins to the surface of the ground, which impacted a nearby school. The building will overwhelm existing neighborhood infrastructure, such as sewers, streets and public transit and schools. Diana is fighting for a moratorium on the approval and construction of monster buildings in our neighborhood.
Diana is visiting the City run Catherine Street Shelter, to follow up on complaints about the facility. Diana will fight for the Shelter to be properly operated, with full staffing and programs and adequate oversight of residents who are experiencing traumatic mental health issues.
